Following consultation with local businesses and feedback received via our questionnaire,
we have developed the following scheme as a way of promoting local businesses during the
event period of the Brockwell Live shows, encouraging ticket-holders to visit your business
and return to the local area after the event, via a social media campaign. There will be
between 20-25,000 people in the local area on each event day. How can we work together to
drive them to your business, either before, during or after the events?
Some ideas to get you started:
● Is there anything you sell that might be appealing to festival-goers? Food?
Refreshments? Clothing? Eco-friendly products? Jewellery? Flower garlands?
● Do you provide a service that might be appealing or useful to festival-goers? Are you
a taxi service, a hair salon, a masseuse, a face painter?
● If so, could you create an incentive scheme to encourage festival-goers to visit your
business, either in person or online?
● This could be a special offer, a discount code, a QR code – any promotional offer that
could drive customers to your business.
● Once you have decided on your incentive scheme, submit it to us and, depending on
the volume of applications, we will aim promote it via one or more of our event social
media channels (stats below).
● Please let us know if there is a particular event or demographic that feels like a good
fit for your business. I have also listed our current event opening times below as this
may be of use. For instance, would you consider amending your opening times to
cater for people arriving at/leaving the event?
If this scheme is of interest, you will need to provide us with the following:
● Details of your promotional campaign.
● An image of you/a member of your staff at your place of work, or an image that you
own that is relevant to the campaign that we can post on social media. This image
will need to be in jpeg format, 2000px x 2000px, clear, and in focus.
● Let us know your website domain name, if you have one, and any other information
about your business that you’d like people to know about i.e What are your opening
times? Or maybe you’d like to share some local history i.e How long have you been
in the area? Is it a family run business?

If you are interested in developing your campaign, we may be able to help with the provision
of creative content to give it a boost! Maybe a photoshoot featuring some of our performers
at your place of work, as per the image below? This is something fun that could gain traction
on social media so please email us and let us know if this is something you might be
interested in, and we’ll see what we can do!
We will create a customer facing map for festival goers promoting local businesses. This
map will list:
● Top ten local restaurants and bars
● Top ten local shops or service providers
This map will be uploaded to the community section of all event websites.
We will print x2 large scale versions of this map, to be displayed:
● At the main entrance to the festival site, clearly visible to festival-goers
● At the site office, clearly visible to staff
If you would like your business to be included on this map, please email us with your
business name, address, and brief description of what your business offers.
● There will be lots of staff and contractors on site during the construction and
deconstruction phase of the project, so we are aiming to encourage everyone to eat
and drink locally and off site where possible during this phase of the event.
● We will create a document listing local hospitality businesses, in order to encourage
staff and contractors to eat off site.
● This will be distributed to all site departments.
● Some park users shop or buy refreshments locally and then find a place to sit in the
park. We will create a map clearly showing which areas of the park are unaffected by
the festival site, and clear routes around it, so that people can easily find a peaceful
spot in which to relax.
● This map will be displayed on the external fence line.
