A snapshot of events from the ChooSE27 Festival
We saw the launch of the Pintadera Cafe ‘aperitivo nights’ including live jazz, cuban guitar music, roots and blues nights all accompanied by outstanding cocktails and delicious Italian treats.
At Knowles of Norwood they held artistic social events, quiz nights, and DJ sessions where the vibes and drinks were flowing.
Portico hosted a charity event to raise money for Southside Rehabilitation Association (who run the Copy Shop) with DJ’s, food and drinks in the garden, plus a funky Salsa night put on by the host of Mambista and his wife.
The much awaited and anticipated opening of the Queen of the South happened and it was worth waiting for!
The Railway Tavern, Great Northwood, West Norwood Picturehouse & West Norwood Library, West Norwood Cemetery, South London Theatre, East Place Studios, The Book & Record Bar all held fantastic events that saw local people and people from further afield come and enjoy all that we have to offer and the different spaces in West Norwood and Tulse Hill that you can go to work, create and hold events in when you ChooSE27

“We have seen a fab few weeks across the BID area celebrating the workspaces that we have on offer, with a really wide variety of events. The Cemetery Open Day saw one of our highest number of engagement with instagram followers. The events put on by S2S businesses have been great and there has definitely been an atmosphere of ‘something happening’ in the neighbourhood.”
