Applications for phase four of Lambeth’s ERF (Economic Resilience Fund) will open at 10am on Wednesday 2nd February 2022 and will close when all funding has been awarded or is likely to be awarded due to volume of applications.

These applications will be assessed on a first come, first serve basis.

Please note that the total funding pot available through the fourth phase of the Economic Resilience Fund is significantly smaller than previous phases, and as such, Lambeth expects funding to be exhausted quickly. The application form will be available on their webpage.

Eligible businesses:

Phase four will provide direct cash grants to businesses within hospitality, leisure and personal care sectors with grant awards set at the following levels:

  • Grant value: £2,677.

Personal care sector, e.g., hair salons, beauty and wellness businesses that provide in-person services.

Businesses must have a commercial property; evidence of ongoing commercial property costs such as business rates liability and / or commercial rental costs must be provided.

  • Grant value: £10,000

Independent hospitality and leisure businesses that provide in-person services e.g. pubs, bars, restaurants, cafes, cinemas, theatres, gyms.

Businesses must have a commercial property; evidence of ongoing commercial property costs such as business rates liability and / or commercial rental costs must be provided.

Additional criteria – rateable value of less than £51,000 or lease/rent (or equivalent) of less than £26,000 per year if commercial property is not rated

  • Grant value: £20,000

Independent hospitality and leisure businesses that provide in-person services e.g. pubs, bars, restaurants, cafes, cinemas, theatres, gyms.

Businesses must have a commercial property; evidence of ongoing commercial property costs such as business rates liability and / or commercial rental costs must be provided

Additional criteria – rateable value of more than £51,000 or lease/rent (or equivalent) of more than £26,000 per year if commercial property is not rated

As with previous rounds of the ERF, an application form will be hosted on the Lambeth website. Applications will be assessed and awards made on a first come, first served basis for those who meet the eligibility requirements above. All payments must be made by 31 March 2022.

Due to the need to make awards swiftly, the application form will require all evidence to be included before it can be submitted.

The team will be unable to request further information from those that do not provide the required evidence due to the short government deadline for payments to be made. To support businesses to apply correctly, the ERF process and criteria will be publicised on the council’s Covid-19 businesses page for at least two working days before applications are opened. Businesses will also be sent an email confirming that the opportunity is live.
