‘After Work’ Writing Workshop: Researching and Writing History
June 1 - 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Free
Are you a writer or always wanted to try your hand at writing? Then these workshops are designed especially for you.
Brought to the community as a partnership between Norwood Forum & West Norwood Library, these writing workshop events are part of theĀ ChooSE27 FestivalĀ running throughout West Norwood and Tulse Hill, showcasing places the community can use to work in or to hire for events.
The second workshop is about researching and writing history, and this will be led by Stuart Hibberd and Stephen Oxford.
For both workshops you are invited to bring along your own text to read from, or you are very welcome to sit back and listen – or come ready with questions for our panel. These are friendly, informal, round table conversations with no age restrictions and in a fully accessible space.
Stuart Hibberd is the author of The First Crystal Palace Football Club 1861-1876, the definitive history of one of the founding members of the Football Association in 1863.
Stephen Oxford is a retired geography teacher who has lived in Norwood for more than 35 years and is Editor of the Norwood Review, the quarterly magazine of the Norwood Society.
