Building Community with people with learning disabilities in London

We are looking for someone to join our Day Services team as a Day Services Support Assistant.

Main purpose of the role:
The Day Services team plays a key role in our community, helping people with learning disabilities to live active lives through a programme of social, skills-based and therapeutic activities including art, design, craft and gardening. We’re looking for a Support Assistant to join the team to help us create a safe and supportive environment for the individuals who attend the service.
This role would suit someone with care experience, who is committed to supporting people with learning disabilities to develop their creative skills, enabling them to achieve their agreed personal goals; and who is supportive of the wider values, ethos and purpose of the L’Arche London community.
Salary: The starting salary for this post as a Non-Residential Live Out role is £22, 984 gross (£11.05 per hour, L’Arche UK pay band 1.1). The salary for this role will increase in year two to £11.35 an hour, which is £23,608 per annum gross (L’Arche UK pay band 1.2).
The role is based in West Norwood, working from both L’Arche’s main locations, the craft workshop on Norwood High Street, and the garden workshop on Barston Road
