MYsocial is an online platform run through AgeUK that helps older people meet and connect. Lambeth’s MYSocial service has a growing community of over 1,500 members who enjoy shopping , socialising and visiting recommended businesses.

In return for offering a small discount (up to you what this is) to its members, MYsocial will help your business increase its customer base, as well as encouraging their members to get out and about and promote their wellbeing. MYsocial members have personalised Community Cards which they can show when they enter your business in order to claim their discount.

The benefits of the MYsocial Community Card for your business:

★ Connect with hundreds of members who live in your neighbourhood, looking to make the most of their local community. They can become YOUR customers.
★ Feature on our website deals directory.
★ Feature in our online and printed publicity.
★ Your business gets access to our 1,500 members and is promoted through our Social Media networks and is associated with the Age UK Lambeth brand.
★ Joining our Mysocial community is free, we just ask that you offer a discount for members of our community who have a membership card that they use to access deals.

If you didn’t want to offer a full deal you could offer a discount at certain times of the week, what you offer is totally up to you.

Some examples of deals secured so far:-
● A local cafe offers discounts on all tea and coffee.
● A local cake shop offers 10% off cakes ordered online.
● Members save 20% with a local Pilates class.
● A local therapy centre offers 20% off treatments
● Members save 10% off courses and events with a local print studio.

We want OUR members to be spending money with YOUR business.

To join the MYsocial community by offering discounts or perks to our members, or if you’d like to chat more about this opportunity, please contact cathi@ageuklambeth.org.

Our AGM is on Wednesday 22nd at 7.30pm in the Old Library, SE27. We’ll be reviewing the past year - especially the renewal of the Hut lease - and looking forward to the year ahead. Do come and give your ideas. And why not join the committee? Many hands make light work!
