Station to Station is collaborating with Lambeth & Rathbone’s Youth Hub at the Old Library, to help local young people to take their first steps into paid employment.
In the words of Charline, Rathbone’s Head of Children and Young People’s Service, we are asking local employers “to be that person” who gives a young person their first foot in the door into the world of work.
Your contribution could be anything from a few hours work experience a week to a full time paid role.
If you are interested in attending the Youth Hub Jobs Fair on 21 April 2022 (a time commitment of just 1.5 hours, plus lunch!) please email charlotte@stationtostation.london to find out more.
If you can’t attend but would still like to be involved, let us know. We can add you to a ‘Local Employer Board’ at the event, where interested employers can advertise the kind of roles they are looking for and the Youth Hub workers/Station to Station act as brokers between the young people and those wishing to offer work experience or roles.
The Youth Hub also supports young people with special educational needs (see Step Out Project below), if you are interested in helping here, please email Sunil Phandey s.phandey@rathbonesociety.org.uk to ask for more information.
