Station to Station BID have received external funding through Lambeth’s Economic Resilience Funding to implement a new project for the area – a shared electric delivery van – similar to other successful schemes around London.
The Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) reached the south circular in October 2021 and Station to Station are partnering with Zipcar to bring a shared electric delivery vehicle to our business improvement district. This would be FREE to use by any levy paying Station to Station business for the first year and then at lower than market rates for subsequent years, just as in the Brixton BID model which has been working successfully for a few years. https://brixtonbid.co.uk/evie-our-electric-van/
We are currently waiting on Lambeth Council to get the correct permissions to allocate a dedicated parking bay and charge point for this vehicle on Norwood High Street just up from the library/cinema building. This has been delayed due to a nationwide demand for the installation of these bays.
If your business would benefit from this service, please answer the following questionnaire.
No submitted personal data (email or phone numbers) will be shared with Zipcar or any other third-parties. The results will be used to assess the likely peak usage periods, capacity needed and vehicle location(s).
Please Note:
As there is a global shortage of electric vehicles due to demand, for an interim period the shared Zipvan might be petrol run. This would be offered for free to all Station to Station levy payers in the same way as the electric van will be once instated!
