Checking in for customers
Customers for all hospitality, personal care and leisure services still need to check into venues using either the NHS app (via smartphone and QR code) or by writing down their name and number on entry to your premises. If a customer does not comply with this, the business should refuse entry.
Failure for a business to do this can result in a £1000 fine.
A change to these regulations is that each visitor must sign in individually, one person cannot do this on behalf of a group.
A logbook must be kept of all staff shifts worked. This will be accessed by the NHS Track & Trace team if an outbreak occurs that is associated with your business.
New QR check in posters have been created and if you already received a unique QR code in 2020, you will have been emailed this, or you can apply here for it.
New ‘We Offer Testing to our Staff‘ scheme launched
You will be able to display stickers prominently in your business that reassure customers that you test your staff regularly (at least twice a week using lateral flow tests).
If you haven’t already applied to the government scheme for a supply of free lateral flow tests, email us on info@stationtostation.london as we have been able to access kits via Lambeth.
The sticker scheme is so new there is no where yet to access them, but keep checking in here and we will update this post as soon as we find out how you can order them!
More details on the checking in protocols here.
